About Electrical apprentices
ActewAGL electrical apprentices:
- are recruited by ActewAGL Networks Division
- get to work at various ActewAGL buildings and worksites
- must complete a three-year CIT part-time course as part of their apprenticeship
- may receive further opportunities to study engineering after their three-year course
- are not guaranteed ongoing employment at the completion of their apprenticeship.

How to apply
To be eligible you must hold a Year 10 School Certificate and you are required to sit a one-hour pre-selection assessment to assist with determining your ability to cope with the electrical theory components contained in CIT training courses. You can take an online pre-apprenticeship practice test to prepare for the pre-selection assessment.
When to apply
Applications will open when apprenticeship opportunities are advertised in October. Applicants are required to submit a current resume and complete an apprentice application pack which will be available in October. Successful applicants will start their apprenticeship in January or February next year.
